Tenuta Carricante is a pink Sicilian stone villa that offers incredible views over the Mediterranean Sea, alongside exquisite, contemporary interior furnishings, an array of outdoor areas to relax, and six comfortable bedrooms. This is truly the perfect villa for families or large groups seeking a tranquil escape to Sicily.

Inside the villa, contemporary interiors meet traditional historic features, creating a rich blend between older and newer elements. The ground floor is home to four of the villa’s six bedrooms, one of which boasts its own living area, whilst each has a private en suite. The final two bedrooms can be found on the first and second floors, with the master suite boasting its own steam room. A lovely sitting room furnished with a fireplace can also be found on the first floor, complete with unique artwork and beautiful stone floors, perfect for keeping guests cool throughout their stay. Guests can also enjoy use of the kitchen and dining room on this floor, both abundant in natural light and adorned with striking french doors that open out onto citrus gardens.

Outside, the villa boasts spacious terraces, balconies and al fresco areas, perfect for watching the sunset with a meal cooked on the barbecue. Enjoy the vast infinity pool whilst soaking up the surrounding views of the sea below, or relax in the private plunge pool and pool houses, equipped with an outside kitchen and bar area. Tenuta Carricante also has plenty of unique facilities, such as a wine cellar and vineyard. It’s also located in an excellent position to explore the coastal resorts of Giardini Naxos, Taormina (known for its Greek theatre and many festivals), Aci Trezza, and Aci Castello, as well as the charming baroque towns of Catania, Siracusa and Noto, known for its excellent shopping scene.

Average weather

Perhaps Sicily’s main tourist destination, Taormina has something for everyone. A fabulous coastline, a land and history shaped by an active volcano and a choice of a low key evening or a livelier night a little further down the coast. The east coast’s history of being conquered has led to a rich cultural heritage with so many sites to see – most famously being the ancient theatres. With this in mind, it could be easy to miss out on a shopping experience – choose from the independent gift shops or the more well-known stores found in Catania. And of course, you can’t avoid the magnificent and varied Italian cuisine.
