I am originally from the UK but have lived in various places in Mallorca over the last 20 years. I only intended to stay in Mallorca for a year or two, but the island has a way of keeping hold of you - and I like to think that I know the island pretty well now. I have been working with CV Villas for 5 years and look after our properties between Mallorca and Menorca. I generally love the role that I have and enjoy going that extra mile to ensure that our clients have a great experience.
Describe the perfect day in your destination?
Wake up early and stroll down to the turquoise Mediterranean for a long swim to blow away any cobwebs. Home for some coffee and ensaimada, then take a boat out and head for a beautiful tranquil bay for long lazy lunch bobbing on the water. Home for a cheeky siesta and then I'd have one of our amazing chefs come round and prepare Paella for my family and some friends!
What are your top travel tips for your destination?
Try and have a clear idea of exactly what you want before making your booking. Do you need a heated pool? Is walking distance to the local village important? Is the view a priority? Ask as many questions as you can prior to booking so that you can end up with the right property to meet your needs.
What local cuisine would you recommend to people staying in your destination?
It has to be either a paella or tapas. Mixed paella when it arrives at the table just looks spectacular and there is something there for fish and meat lovers alike. Tapas, I love because you get the variety of a number of great dishes!
What experiences would you recommend to our customers in your destination?
Charter a private boat to visit some of the bays that very few can access. I would definitely recommend organising a private chef at the villa - it really isn't expensive and is such a special thing to do when you are on holiday!
