I am Romanian, and moved to the UK in my early 20s. I lived in London for 7 years, and had the most amazing work opportunities, before deciding to move to South Wales for a more peaceful lifestyle. I built myself a small family there, and of course enjoyed the lovely countryside. I discovered CV Villas after a holiday in Greece one year, and made the decision to join the Corfu team. Describe the perfect day in your destination?

My day would start with a light coffee and a small snack, before heading down to my favorite beach and having a good splash after some sunbathing. I'd have lunch at the taverna and maybe a snooze on the sun lounger later on. After another splash and swim, I'd take a scenic walk around the resort. In the evening, I'd enjoy the view of Corfu Town from the comfort of my balcony.

What are your top travel tips for your destination?

Come full of positive vibes, as it`s vital. Rent a car. Bring sunscreen and bug spray/repellent. Have a phone charged and with roaming for GPS and emergency calls. Make sure you take water with you for your walks as the temperatures can get very high in season.

What local cuisine would you recommend to people staying in your destination?

The local Corfiot cuisine is exactly to my taste, and I'd recommend trying the moussaka, as well as stuffed tomatoes. I also love seafood like prawns in butter and garlic, or deep fried calamari. The desserts are from heaven, from baclava to patisserie cakes. Finish off with a shot of ouzo or metaxa. Enjoy your meal!

What experiences would you recommend to our customers in your destination?

A visit to Corfu Town and Achillion Palace. A boat trip around the shore. Aqualand is for everyone and it's great fun. Canal d`Amour day trip. Visit an olive grove where they also produce oil. A stop to one of the homemade kumquat stores.
