Villa Specialist
I started working at CV Villas in 2007, and it has been a very enjoyable journey. I always knew that I wanted to work in travel, and after I finished secondary school I went on to study Tourist Administration in Lithuania. My career in the industry took off when I came to UK for a gap year and ended up staying here permanently. My first job was working for a company called Simply Travel, which is where I first fell in love with villa holidays. Working at CV Villas has given me the opportunity to visit many beautiful countries and stay in some amazing villas during our familiarization trips and holidays. I love travelling and experiencing local cultures, sights and food. While having a young family now means it’s not as easy to travel, I think a villa holiday makes it perfect and so much easier.
My favourite destination is Corsica. It has the most dramatic landscapes in Europe, with vibrant towns and stunning sandy beaches. I will always remember swimming in Calvi’s crescent shaped bay, overlooking stunning mountains covered in snow in early June.
I always have been fascinated with Iceland. It has so many different landscapes to explore, like the volcanoes, geysers, lava fields and hot springs. And to see the Northern lights would be absolutely amazing.
With my young family, the top priority is to relax and spend time together. We do lots of swimming while on holiday - I prefer the sea over the pool, but the kids would choose the pool any time of the day, rain or shine. Renting out a boat is one of our favourite activities to do.
When renting a car, my top tip would be to go for a smaller size (or just two small cars) over a large vehicle. Roads abroad can be narrow and parking spaces often small, which unfortunately I have had to learn the hard way!
