Montana del Aguila, Menorca

Let’s start this opulent virtual journey in Spain, where Montana del Aguila is undoubtedly our most luxurious villa on the enchanting island of Menorca. It’s also one of our largest properties with space for 28 guests sharing 12 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. This house has been impeccably designed with precise attention to detail, from the striking geometric floor tiles and bespoke wooden furniture, to custom-made textiles and the aquamarine marble bar in the impressive Gran Salòn - ideal for in-villa happy hour. 

There is ample space for further indoor relaxation with various sitting rooms, a library and a cinema room, while the stylish gym-cum-yoga studio caters for more active types. 

The grounds are rather spectacular, with extensive terraces around every corner for al fresco dining and lounging. The pool - at an incredible 25 metres long with four poster daybeds is served by a fabulous pool house, featuring an outdoor kitchen with a built-in barbecue, a bar and a plancha grill. La Dimora del Santo, Sicily

Another island idyll, this time in southern Sicily, La Dimora del Santo is a wonderfully historic house that was originally built as an abbey in 1300. For several centuries afterwards it was an important stately home, until most recently being restored as a magnificent luxury villa to rent. 

Perfectly secluded within over 100 acres of private land, the grounds include vast lush lawns, beautiful rose gardens and a peaceful Indian pavilion; there’s also a chapel so this doubles up as a superb wedding venue as well as an ideal spot to celebrate any special occasion. A twenty metre pool is set within a picturesque courtyard and served by a pool house with a terrace, barbecue and bar, plus a cleverly designed spa area with a private hammam and sauna. 

Inside is equally impressive with an expansive drawing room and a library divided by huge stone arches,  a large dining room opening to the gardens and a professional kitchen where the villa’s team of staff prepare all meals. The décor is elegant and traditional throughout the tasteful pastel bedrooms and beautifully tiled bathrooms.

Pebble Bay, Corfu

If one were to close their eyes and imagine their dream house on the beach, it would probably look like Pebble Bay. Perched at the water’s edge in Yialiskari, this villa offers incredible views and total tranquility for a blissful beachfront retreat.

 Inside the house is impeccably designed, decorated in warm neutral shades with plush soft furnishings for indoor relaxation and a gorgeous open kitchen with honey coloured Ioanina marble worktops and a breakfast bar, plus a beautifully crafted breakfast table. 

Sliding doors lead to a shaded terrace where the views just keep getting better. An al fresco dining area sits beside comfortable rattan loungers for downtime out of the sun, and there’s a sunny  alternative for lunch, with a second table and chairs down by the pool.

 The pool itself is simply stunning; a free-form infinity pool seemingly merging into the sea is paired with wooden loungers, luxurious daybeds and a hanging egg chair, where guests may discover their new favourite place to relax while enjoying the soft sea breeze.

Villa Mourisco, Portugal

Last but by very no means least, Crystal Springs is a beachfront paradise in Barbados. From the unique décor to the perfectly poised heated pool overlooking the Caribbean sea, there are so many reasons why this villa made the 5 star luxury villas list.

Sleeping up to 20 lucky guests, this high spec luxury villa is split across several buildings: the main house, the pool house, the Teahouse, and a further Pavilion building. The main house is impressive and spacious, the elegant reception rooms have unique works of art adorning the walls.
